Do EBs pay for moving costs?
I know that they give a substantial bonus for signing for full time but are moving costs covered separately or part of that bonus? I know that I can ask HR but just curious if anyone had a quick answer.

I would assume your 60k is the associate sign on bonus. I was given 15k (sign on + early acceptance) for my incoming analyst role.

It's in your offer letter...I think most banks do $10k or whatever a month before starting. That is how my BB is doing it (incoming associate).
Only mentions a sign on bonus. Not sure if the moving costs are baked into that number.
They called our signing bonus $60k but on my offer letter I see that it is $50k up front then $10k relocation one month prior to starting FT.
60k is definitely the associate number. Incoming analyst with 10k signing bonus + 10k early bird sign on if you sign within the month. I’m under the impression the whole lump sum will come sometime in the spring
Yes, I called out associate in my post.
This smells like Moelis, not sure what other shops do the early bird signing thing. Anyways, banks do not pay for your moving costs. That's baked into the signing bonus. Is 10k plus 100k base not good enough for OP to move from one state to another?
I have seen some funds cover relocation costs. Appreciate the help bud
Not sure what you’re talking about. Out of my entire associate MBA class, I haven’t heard of a single bank that doesn’t do early sign on as part of the signing package. Also, to my knowledge every bank also pays a $10k relocation bonus the month before you start.
Other EBs also have extra bonus for signing on quickly for FT from SA like EVR, LAZ, PWP for example
My firm has $15k sign-on bonus + $5k early acceptance + $5 relocation bonus.
Do you get the relocation bonus if you're based in NYC, or do you have to actually relocate?
Everyone gets it (if your firm offers it).
