Do I choose Northwestern, Brown, or Dartmouth for Investment Banking?

I recently had the privilege of being admitted to Northwestern, Brown, and Dartmouth for economics.

I am really looking to go into investment banking, and was wondering if anyone in the industry would comment on which one would serve as the best stepping stone into the industry. I am currently leaning towards Northwestern because of its economics program and proximity to Chicago, but would be excited to go to any of the three. Also, if any alums can comment on the culture all one of these schools that would be appreciated. Thanks!

Went to similar school to those and lead recruiting for group:

1. For experience, I think you go Dartmouth>Brown>Northwestern

2. For NYC recruiting outcomes, I think it's Dartmouth>>Brown>Northwestern

3. For Chicago recruiting outcomes, I'd imagine Northwestern>>>>>>Dartmouth=Brown

4. For undergrad economics, I think Northwestern and Dartmouth are pretty equally ranked at the top

That being said, if you don't love the outdoors and Greek life and a more traditional social/college campus scene, I'd probably pick Northwestern.

Another reason I lean Northwestern is their aid package was a little better than Dartmouth's, but if Dartmouth has a significant placement advantage it might be worth it to pay a little extra. In your opinion, how big is the recruiting gap and will it look any different in 4 years? Thanks for your help!

I was on aid too, and my eventual school was slightly lower than the other acceptances. I emailed the financial aid office and asked if they could match, and they did. I'd try that.

Otherwise, ~5K a year won't make a difference in the long run. Obviously, the gap isn't that big and would probably still go Dartmouth unless the gap is over ~10K a year.

Look up Northwestern NUIBC on google and see their recent placements. Also look at Northwesterns CFS (Chicago Field Studies) program. Allows you to work an internship full time for a quarter in downtown chicago and recieve credit.
