Do you have time to workout?

May sound silly, but really all I need to maintain sanity is 4 times a week or so where I can do some sort of lifting or cardio for 45 minutes. Is that even possible in the current WFH everywhere is a sweatshop climate?

All these posts have me understanding how bad it is, and I am a curious if anyone is squeezing in some time to workout or go for a jog while pretending to be busy.

Thanks!

Nope and it’s killing me. Gotta get back to it ASAP. Covid ruined everything.

Work in a sweatshop and lift 3 days a week. Even the sweatiest of shops you shouldn’t be working 7pm-9pm Friday eve every weekend. If you are, you are internally managing wrong. Saturday am 9am-11am you should be able to tell people to wait till you get back from grocery shopping, etc. I also find that time is generally calm. Sunday from 9am-11am as well you should be able to either ping another analyst to do a quick task if it is needed or you can say you are “tied up” and you will get to that task in the next hour. During the week, I’ve found some people can wake up early and pull off a 7am workout, but that’s just not me. Find it’s really pretty hard to get a legitimate workout during the week, that said, push-ups/ pull-ups in your apartment for 15 minutes between calls can go a super far way.
