Does on cycle PE recruiting exist for Canadians?
I recently signed for SA 25 with a respected big 5 bank in Toronto think (RBC/BMO/TD). I’ve been so focused on just getting a summer IB job that I never really thought about PE recruiting. I heard though that it was getting earlier and earlier from this forum and started doing some research online. I know US mega funds target like BB and EB in like the states. Do I have any shot in Canada? Like what are the options for someone who likely does not want to stay in banking long term? Then I’ve read about headhunters and I’m so confused about this process? My school in the past has hosted in person events with headhunters but I’m confused about their presence in Canada or even if there are very many PE exits for Canadian bankers. If anyone can shed some light on this process that would be much appreciated!
Torquest has an on-cycle process if you have a banking internship for An1
spoke to a current analyst there and they don't - they hire as and when needed
Really? I spoke to a current analyst as well, maybe it's just commonish but not an on cycle thing
Bump, anyone know if theres PE recruiting for calgary bankers?
Longbow was hiring just a couple of weeks ago. I think it’s more of a need basis in Calgary.
There's four major Calgary PE firms; ARC, Triwest, Azimuth, and Longbow. None of them seem large enough to justify an on-cycle process.
Longbow was asking for 2-5 years of IB experience for a PE analyst posting.
Canada is a joke.
Altas recruits oncycle (HH is Amity)
