Does sophomore internship matter?

Got offer at RBC CM IBD for NYC for next summer. However, I was wondering should i keep recruiting for goldman since they don't start to later. I really want to work at Evercore or PJT RSSG, CVP, Qatalyst. I go to to a target already. But I am wondering if I sign to  rbc for soph summer will it disadvantage me?

dude take what you’ve got you are playing a stupid game thinking you have a good chance of landing one of the 20 sophomore spots in IB goldman gives (would say a few are already taken too btw). Any sophomore internship looks good and can be leveraged for next year.

Also side note you sound like you are just chasing “wso prestige” not sure why you are grouping Q and PJT Rx together? Dude you’ve gotta be appreciative that you even landed a sophomore summer they are hard to come by, wouldn’t go out shopping more offers as a sophomore that is crazy cocky in my humble opinion (maybe I’m wrong haha).

Hey man! I appreciate the honesty. I really have to be happy. Like I really was excited I'm trying to grind out my super at MS still before my offer explodes at RBC next week. But thanks, I thought prestige mattered for soph internships, but it seems it doesn't.

YO thanks so much Im actually gonna sign probably on Monday. Means a lot. Spoke to a lot of the upper class minority kids at my school and told me not to trip. Told me my time is better spent networking and learning more techs and raising my gpa to 3.8. thanks man. Cant wait to be the city next summer :)

I've never understood the point of banks like RBC creating sophomore programs when it is painfully obvious that people are only going to use them to lateral to better banks. The programs don't accomplish much from the bank's perspective
