You should be spending time with your high school friends having the best time possible right now. Assuming u go away to college and then take internships in the summer in future years, you will never have another few months to live it up with your high school friends. Enjoy it.
I bagged groceries that summer and I'm at a BB now. Don't stress on it
There's nothing you can do, unless you have family connections that could land you an internship now. Just enjoy your summer; you will learn everything you need to know for IB during university and you aren't under a lot of pressure to land an internship for the summer after your freshman year.
You should definitely do whatever the hell you want and have as much fun as you possibly can. Those days will be over soon my friend. I lifeguarded that summer which is probably the most bs job of all time.
Thanks guys. I didn't mean doing nothing as in not landing a BB internship lol. I meant like I'm just not working at all, so basically the summer before college on my resume will be blank. Is that okay or will future employers question why I took that summer off?
Your resume should have enough experience on it that it doesn't date back to your summer before freshman year of college...if it doesn't then that's an entirely different problem of yours
No I meant applying for jobs freshmen year of college. Unless that's what you meant?
Enjoy it bro. I had a lot of fun that summer, not worrying about paying rent or food and just chilling. IB will always be there.
second everyone here, don't feel like your under pressure, most are in the same position as you (i too did nothing my first year)
alright cool, thanks everyone
