monk straps are god awful, tassels are more refined than bits. No fashion designer shoe is better than true shoe craftsmen such as Edward Green, Carmina, Alden, Crockett and Jones,

Baudoin Lange, George Cleverley.

I have dress shoes from all the above lol

Every fashion designer shoe, I’m not a big fan. But I have ferragamo and gucci bits. Overpriced decent quality shoes but they’re more in the range of what a $300 shoe should be quality-wise.

Chelsea boots and cowboys boots are good to have but to wear on rare occasions (I’m from Texas)

Massive shoe snob here lol

Where to begin with this.  You put Edward Green 3 tiers below Bally and Ferragamo?  That's literally the equivalent of putting Evercore below Barclays.  Of the entire Tier 1 list, Aubercy is the only name that somewhat has a right to be there.  LV makes most of their shoes in Romania and they're not even the best shoemaker out of Romania, that honour belongs by a long shot to Saint Crispin.  Bemer is Tier I.  None of the tier II names are tier II either other than maybe Berluti but you'd have to really like the patina.  Louboutin isn't even known for men's shoes, Corthay should probably be higher but they have  only one real signature shoe that you're unlikely to wear to work. Tier 1 should arguably be Meccariello, Silvano Lattanzi, Bemer, Saint Crispin, Gaziano & Girling, Edward Green, Scafora, Vass.  Kiton is the only 'couture brand name' that makes amazing shoes.  The rest, are crap and that includes most of Ferragamo (they have good shoes but make a bunch of crap, LV, etc.

Big fan of Tecovas. Boots aren’t a look for everyone but for me, it fits my style and Tecovas are excellent quality IMO. Very nice people in my experience too
