Career Resources
Small firm, recruitment is "unstructured" as Ducera doesn't have an HR department. Analyst/Associates and Directors run recruitment so it is very thorough and lengthy as you meet with the majority of the team.
Be prepared for a case study.
Good, tight-knit collaborative culture. Hours are on par with EB and comp is above street, they even have a profit sharing plan on top of the annual bonus.
Very hard interviews from what i've heard. Friend of mine had 3 technical phone screens prior to bringing him in for a super day. Know your stuff
Insanely technical.
Could you elaborate on what you mean by this? Coming from a quant background so its hard for me to gauge what insanely technical encompasses
Read Moyer's DD back to cover.
Please give me examples, I need them ASAP and I don't have time to read the book. PM me please. Please. The Lord arb molderingpeanuts
I’m just now going through this thread. Fuck this guy man
How so?
.
They're legit, been getting big deals done.
Work hard, but seems like a tight knit culture from what I've heard
What makes you say this? Having trouble finding any info about the firm
Good friend of mine interviewed there. SA interview process involved three technical phone screens with analysts.
Superday was six back-to-back interviews with everyone from analysts to partners. The junior people he spoke with looked pretty burnt out--might have just been a bad week for them.
Pretty technical superday. Know your basics and basic RX debt waterfalls, etc.
Very unstructured hiring process - don't have an official hiring timeline. Hire based on fit. Analysts/associates will try you out when you reach out if your resume is decent. Multiple phone screens - I had an "introductory" phone screen and then 3 rounds of primarily-technical interviews.
do you mind sharing what was asked on the "intro" phone call
Super high-level behavioral, probably will discuss what you've been doing in school/summer; overall just a binary evaluation of whether you're a dud or not.

do you think summer analysts would have similar interviews as FT? what is the best way to prepare?

Could you please give me examples of what they asked? Perhaps the technicals M&A, LBO or how much they dove into distressed debt? PM me if you can. I need these ASAP...
I interviewed there. Be prepared for questions pertaining to M&A, restructuring, LBO's, valuation, and the overall debt and equity markets. Be prepared for everything. They will keep diving deeper into each technical question as well. I may sound like i'm being vague but they asked questions on everything.
I'm assuming they don't hire many summer analysts, anyone know if they are still recruiting other than the Superday happening this upcoming week?
