For Investment Sales, SF and NY offices place best for REPE. Prior placement includes Angelo Gordon, Westbrook, DivcoWest etc. For IB, placement under the old team (Wells Fargo now) was very good. Similar placement to IS but also have seen Blackstone, Carlyle, RockPoint etc. Placement under the new IB group is yet to be seen... but likely will be very good.

Investment Sales recruits for generalist internships more informally and somewhat less of a structured timeline (typically mid-late fall). Each office runs their own process and possible to recruit for multiple offices. You need your resume to get sent to them in some form (can get creative here) or else you have essentially no shot. In prior years, most interns are extended a return offer at the end of the summer. This year they didn't extend any offers to interns at the end of the summer (COVID) and just opened full-time recruiting. After spending close to a year waiting to hear news, they sent an email to former summer analysts inviting them to apply— instead of giving them offers like a normal shop would. Many of them did end up getting great job offers elsewhere— but speaking from someone on the inside, the culture of the firm only continues to decline post Wells Fargo sale. Investment Banking Group now hires a lot of laterals I believe.
