Curious to see how BB Analyst Class sizes compare to boutiques given how much boutiques have grown in the past years. Especially interested in numbers from PWP and Evercore.
For the 2016 Analyst class, Moelis has 24 in NY and 8 in LA

Lazard was 25 kids for NY last year
PWP is the smallest by far. 14 analysts NYC, 3 SF. Evercore is roughly same size as MoCo and Lazard.
On the other side, what bank has the largest SA / Analyst class? I know some of the groups at GS or even JPM has like 20+ kids.
BAML's class is ridiculously large. Not sure of the exact # but they take a ton of kids as SAs, probably 20+ for several groups (M&A, Consumer in particular)
GS is close to 100 in all of USA RBC NY has more I believe, but they make their money off volume and require more manpower
From what i know, GS has a lot more than 100 in all of USA. Just the New York office alone has close to 130-140
I don't understand that if you have like 20 - 30 kids per group at some of these banks, how can you stand out at all? I always imagined most groups to be like 10 - 12 kids max.
Evercore has around 30 in M&A and 2 in RX PJT is 11-12 in M&A and less than that in RSSG
