EB/BBs that recruits FT by group/generalist
Full time recruiting after summer analyst
By Group - the group is responsible for applying/screening/interviewing/offer independently
By Generalist - either the bank let you apply and you will be grouped in candidates that is being considered as classical IBD applicants but not considered in group selection process after offer stage or during the process (know some BB like MS does this) or simply that the bank runs generalist program in summer analyst/first analyst (for many EBs I think?)
Asking this as I wanted to network strategically for the upcoming FT recruiting cycle and trying to shed some lights for someone also considering the process

bump -- also how should FT recruiting be approached with no return in a buy-side role (GE)
OP here, would say I did saw people moving from buyside after SA to IBD FT, not sure if they get return offer or not.
But if I were you I would still put my top priority on getting FT and network with people in the firms that you're interested in. But probably you need to have a good reason of why IBD instead of buyside.
If you're at a great buyside firm like MF then I think that reputation could carry you more forward

Citi is generalist. Incoming full time analysts go through group placement in early May.
