Received an offer from Evercore. Not really that hard if you genuinely understand Corporate Finance and basic accounting and not just memorizing the guides. Any good corporate finance textbook should be enough combined with the guides and Investment Banking: Valuation, LBOs, M&A, and IPOs by Rosenbaum and Pearl. Understanding the ins and outs of a DCF and how line items on the financial statements effect the other statements should get you by. I will caveat this by saying that this is for NYC M&A. RX involves much more debt knowledge and industry specific office like Tech/Healthcare in MP are pretty difficult, but not impossible. They really want you to understand the sector and sector specifics moreso than general technicals
