Ex consultant doing MBA. Small PE vs. UBS IBD internship

I am an ex-strategy consultant (6 years) doing an MBA at LBS.
I have an offer from the UBS IBD team for a summer associate internship and another offer from a small PE firm working on Real estate investments in emerging markets.

Any advice on which I should go for? Guess UBS will look stronger on my CV in the future and may lead to a FT offer but the PE work seems more interesting (and may also lead to FT opportunities),

(1) Do not take the offer in real estate PE unless you want to stay in real estate- the skills don't transfer over that well to standard / corporate PE.... that said, I work in emerging markets RE PE and it's sick and there's a lot of opportunity in this business (if your'e willing to tough it out and spend some time in China, India, Vietnam, etc... and by time I mean many years of your life)

(2) Assuming you're still in any way unsure about what you want to do with your life post graduation I'd highly recommend UBS IBD.

From what I know, you're currently based in China, no? Do you plan on staying their for the med-long term?

Also, EM RE is something I've been (kinda) looking at. I would love to pick your brain on that topic as well, if possible.

Do you have any say on which of these locations you spend years of your life? Or do you just go to which ever one you're told?

Also, is this a business you should break into before your MBA? Or could one spend several years doing other business related stuff and then get in, move up, etc.?

To be honest - somewhat worried about moving from being almost a senior manager in consulting to taking an associate job in IBD...

Curious as to why you left consulting for finance via business school if you were that senior? Not saying it wasn't a good idea (don't know your background or aspirations) but just curious because it seems like guys that are somewhat senior at consulting firms can get pretty great somewhat seniors management-type roles straight out of their firms.
