some other favorites:
=trim() =substitute()
=code()
... and when trim doesn't work: Ctrl + h, find alt + 255, replace w/ " ". Gets rid of strange leading characters you cant' see. now trim works.
Learned Ctrl+Shft+arrow key and alt+e+s on the same day. That was an awesome day.
