Finding a job in the US as an international student

The last few months have been disappointing for me. I spent last summer at one of the leading Investment Banks and got an offer to come back, however I felt probably too confident and turned it down. I wanted to find a job in a more interesting place, and probably with a better team. Today, unfortunately, I keep getting rejecting email and I am slowly losing faith that I will be able to stay in the US. Do you have any advice on how to deal with such situations? or maybe you have some places that are willing to sponsor visas now? As always thanks for the help lads

Rejecting a job offer from a bank (with H1b sponsorship down the line, I suppose) was a big mistake.

Try finding another job, whatever you can get. Do you still have your OPT or is it used up?

If you can't find another role through OPT, then you can either go under another F1 or find alternative schools. Try avoiding Day1-OPT solutions, regardless of what they tell you.

If you can't find another role you will be forced to leave the US if on F1 and no other legal status is available to you.

Just as a reminder - if you are an international student and are planning on staying in the US, your main goal is to remain in legal status and gain sponsorship. That is more important than a better brand. If you have to leave the country no fancy name on your resume is going to help you stay.

Well you shot yourself in the foot so with current economic & job market outlook, the chance you have to go back home is very high.

The same happened to a lot of international students graduated into 08-09 and 2012.

Keep applying but you would need to cope with this reality. If your home country is another developed nation with financial hubs (UK, Singapore, etc.) then it wouldn't be so bad. If you're coming from a 3rd world country, then your American dream won't materialize for now, aim for a good job back home, and MBA in the states in future.

If you want to return to the US one day or other international locations, I would go with the company with those options.
If you don't mind living a life back home (sounds like a developed nation), then deal flow.
