First round IBD associate interview advice

Hi, I’m currently a senior IBD analyst at a small boutique. I’ve managed to secure a first round interview with a bulge bracket for an associate IBD position. It’s my first time interviewing for a lateral role and I have no idea what to expect. I was told it was going to be a day full of interviews with various members of the team.

Any advice would be appreciated, thank you!

How much research have you done on the BB's dealflow? If I were you, I'd get on FactSet or Bloomberg and start reading into details big M&A transactions that group has worked on for the last 18 months. Be ready to jump in when they ask what deals have you followed. Also read equity research reports for the coverage group you are interviewing for and identify targets that are ripe for M&A. On the technicals side you should be fine since you're an analyst; just don't mess up basic technicals when you get interviewed by the analyst and or associate on your superday.
Oh and also speak in great detail and embellish a bit on the deals you helped close and the complexities you learned from them. You got this.
