FP&A/Strategy to Corporate Banking?

Hey monkeys I’ve been in FP&A/Strategy for 5 years and am looking to shift into corp banking. I like the relationship building/management, the long term nature of the culture, and I’ve been taking credit classes (on CFI) and find the analysis interesting.

With that being said what are some ways I can boost my resume and get noticed on applications? Been reaching out to people on LinkedIn for coffee chats and have had some good conversations, what else should I be doing?

Also has anyone hear made the jump?

@Kele

I am right there with you on this path. It is tough, but here is some of the advice I have gotten

  • CFA Level 1 looks great and helps get past the door with HR, but isn't always the most valuable to a manager
  • Modeling and PowerPoint Certifications show that you have genuine interest and are more skillset applicable which will inevitably become necessary
  • Networking is 1,000x more effective than a strong Cover Letter / Resume

Hope this helps!
