Good things to do that will get you ready:

- Take a financial modeling course

- Take an accounting course

- Start reading news on your sector

- If in a coverage group, know the sub sectors and some of the biggest players

- Listen to a few earnings calls, learn macro factors that affect your industries

Good things to do in the meantime that will make you more interesting:

-find a hobby that you really like

-join a new club on campus

-get a part job

-Honestly travel

-Learn to cook

-find a workout routine

No reason to do the job prep stuff now unless you’re going to get regular reps (like if you’re in an investment fund on campus). You can delay that until around this time of year next year imo. Unless you know literally nothing about any of those topics, if you do it now and don’t get any reps for a year, it’s not gonna be much help. You can also do a course now and then redo it later but I don’t really see the point.
