FT Partners interview process is impossible

By far the hardest interviews I have ever done, holy shit.

I recruited with another EB that is generally considered as being a a place with difficult interviews and they were easy compared to the shit I got while interviewing at FTP.

Fuck that place.

I got asked to find the number of windows in Manhattan (200 years from now) times the cube root of the 39th degree of the unit circle - all to calculate the annual increase in WC for my paper LBO that I had 6 minutes to complete

I recruited here and actually got an offer but was so turned off by their interview process that I turned it down. Interviewing at BBs where they’re like “why do you want to be here” versus FT where they grilled me for an hour on LBOs for what was supposed to be a 30 min interview.

to be fair, I got like half their technicals wrong and they still moved me forward, so I think they just like to see how you respond. But who tf knows lmao

How was their interview process?

OP didn't really mention anything specific.

When a firm has to tout that they have the “strictest interview processes” in place and have these ridiculous interviews to try and come across selective when its not even a EB, top BB or MM, HF or even MF then that’s a major red flag. Like they are insecure trying to hide something. Theres a ton of other FinTech boutiques similar pay. Beyond pathetic try hards…
