Giving up on IB before I start?

I'm an incoming MSF candidate at one of the/ the top US program with a F500 and a few month boutique IB internship. I got so fixated on IB that it's all I really considered in terms of career options for the past year, but to be honest, the appeal has really started to fade. I've had networking calls with ~30 other IB analysts/associates and a few higher up folks in the past month, and even at the firms with relatively good work life balance, it seems like most people I talk to don't have a life to enjoy much of outside of work. I did well in my internship overall and I managed to balance it with school, but I just can't see myself doing that type of work almost all day/every day for multiple years. I really value my relationships with friends/family, my physical health and exercise, want to continue to date, etc... and I feel like I would have to give up a lot of this for a few years in IB.

I'm lucky that my family is well off, so the money aspect of IB isn't even really a major draw for me at this point- I'm fine making less money if I can enjoy my life. It seems equity research would be a path that aligns more with my interests and would open up similar doors for corp. dev/strategy role a few years down the road, and I'll make a 6 figure base + maybe 20-40% bonus which is a salary I'd be more than happy with if I can take Saturday/Sunday off sometimes. I have an offer on the table for a boutique investment/portfolio research position that I can work on throughout the year, and to be honest I was so fixated on IB I was considering turning it down because it wasn't IB related, but it seems that this vertical might be a better fit for me anyways.

Any thoughts?

Should I just gun for IB and force myself through it for the exits in 1/2 years?

Any other viable paths that I should consider given my background and interests?
