Globals in Toronto
It’s been a while since the last thread was updated and was looking for updated insights on some of the globals in Toronto. To my understanding and more recently: JPM is expanding office and starting coverage here - it’s their strategy to grow the Corporate and Investment Bank. Jefferies is aggressively pitching to win new business and has been on some M&A in Toronto already (very impressive given they only entered ~6months ago) This is more recent but anyone have updated insight into the others such as Greenhill, GS, MS, Citi, BofA, EVR, UBS and Barclays? Any insight on comp, hours, work, and culture would be helpful!

Unsure about where Evercore stands as they seem to have a hiring issue (very minor) as an Aso has left and their ‘24 analyst did not return.
BofA and MS still stand strong.
I think EVR TO is still a good name to have on the CV but I don't think they do much business.
noob here, would you guys say a seat at big 5 and national is better than a global in terms of solely deal flow? i want to stay in canada if that helps

what about evr, wf, and rj?
Curious on the avoid GS, bad deal flow?
Barclays just poached Greg Petit from BMO. Expect huge moves like Jeffries last year
