Goldman Sachs Background Check- Taking 8+ Weeks?

Hey guys,

I signed my contract to work at a BB in April, and have followed up a few times with my recruiter. Don't want to keep asking her, but has anyone experienced a delay this long?

Anyone else experience this as well? I have friends who got a job in SLC and their BGC only took 3 weeks, so I'm getting a little concerned at this point, but also read that if they haven't contacted me, that's usually a good sign.

As long as ur not aware of any obvious skeletons in ur closet, ur chillin. Either the people at the background checking company are lazy or HR is. Either way, it’s not *that* out of the ordinary.

I would say it's normal. I had a few superdays with them and asked them when the position would start. They said they gave offers to people in January and they were just coming in the door for their first day in April/May. The process takes a long time.
