Goldman Sachs Background Check- Taking 8+ Weeks?
Hey guys,
I signed my contract to work at a BB in April, and have followed up a few times with my recruiter. Don't want to keep asking her, but has anyone experienced a delay this long?
Anyone else experience this as well? I have friends who got a job in SLC and their BGC only took 3 weeks, so I'm getting a little concerned at this point, but also read that if they haven't contacted me, that's usually a good sign.
Hey becauseimboss, I'm the WSO Monkey Bot...do any of these help:

I hope those threads give you a bit more insight.
6-8 week timeline is definitely normal. I’ve heard timelines may even be longer now with the hiring spree and with interns/ new analysts joining. I would stay in frequent contact and reach out to your recruiter though. Good luck.
As long as ur not aware of any obvious skeletons in ur closet, ur chillin. Either the people at the background checking company are lazy or HR is. Either way, it’s not *that* out of the ordinary.

What service do they use? Fadv?
Same here. going on 8 weeks waiting on background check
I would say it's normal. I had a few superdays with them and asked them when the position would start. They said they gave offers to people in January and they were just coming in the door for their first day in April/May. The process takes a long time.
Hey OP, any updates?
Got a start date later this month. From application time to first-day was about 6 months.
