Goldman stock tumbles following bumper bonuses. Thoughts?
Goldman's stock is getting clobbered as expenses surge - lot's of debate out there on whether bumper bonuses were justified this year. Is it bad news for bankers and compensation growth in the medium term? It's obvious that banking compensation is no longer what it used to be back in the glory days and firms do recognize the need to grow compensation to keep attracting and retaining the best talent. Why is it not viewed favorably by investors?
Yikes, down almost 8% already...
My MD over the weekend told me he’s prolly gonna lose more in this stock pullback (he predicted) than what his bonus will be
Lol he should sell some shares what a noob
Bonuses vest over time for seniors. He can’t just sell.
yes he can, short
You’re not allowed to short the stock, buy puts, or sell calls.
Ha, well that sucks, guess I'm the noob. Thanks
Are you guys referring to the increase in base + new hires expense or do we have bonus number
