GPA Predicament

Incoming IB Analyst looking to lateral after a year and On-Cycle for buyside after that. I transferred universities after two years (spent two years at one, two years at the other).

At my first school, I had a 4.0 GPA and at my second school, I had a 3.7 GPA. However, this 3.7 GPA is solely because of two classes in which I got C's combined with the fact that each class is weighted more heavily because it is only two years' worth of grades and not four. The 4.0 GPA is entirely erased from my transcript because your new school resets your GPA when you transfer. Now, should I have done better in these classes? Absolutely. But it's too late now, and I feel like a 3.7 GPA is not reflective of the hard work I put in throughout college not to mention insufficient for IB/PE. For what it's worth, I'm a STEM major.

My question is: Can I put some kind of combined College GPA figure, based on the total credits from my old school? Or is this unacceptable and borderline lying, likely to get me flagged from any role I do get?

Completely agree. But coming from a non/semi target and knowing how competitive FT IB and PE recruiting can be (requiring 3.9+ GPAs), I worry that a 3.7 GPA is gonna limit my options quite dramatically
