Graduating early, will it affect my internship/full time offer?

I am a third-year in college and have an internship in IB this summer 2026. However, I graduate this May (a full year early).

I originally thought that I was could graduate, intern this summer, hopefully get a FT offer, take a year off and then start 2027.

Would this work? Do I need to tell HR now? or if I get the FT offer? I would not want to start full time right away.

I just wanted to make sure it was ok. Oftentimes, banks give full time offers assuming you're going back to school for a year. Not sure if I'll need to start ASAP or still wait the full year with the rest of the analyst intern class.

I think you will be fine.  A different friend asked for the option to start early (having graduated early) and his bank told him no, so if anything, it works the other way around.
