Exits have been fine in the past couple of years. From what I saw / heard current and past years' exits include Apollo HVF, BX Credit, Oaktree, GTCR, NMC, MDP, Sixth Street, THL, Centerbridge, Genstar, Berkshire, GIC, HIG, and some other MM funds.
IMO if you come from a good UG and interview well, then you have good shot at landing a spot at a UMM or some MF places
what % of these exits are for kids from target school?
Are these M&A or RX? Do they exit differently?
Mix of both. RX skews towards the more distressed / special sits opportunities (Apollo HVF, Centerbridge, BX Credit)
Greenhill Toronto M&A also sent an analyst to Elliott Management PE in NY last year
That's a sick exit from a satellite office. What UG is he / she from?
Honestly, not shocked. Probably the best group in Toronto from what I have heard
Came across some Silver Lake and Permira exits too but these might have been for class of '22 or '21, not sure
