GS/MS Internal Transfer to NYC from HK
Hello - I'm currently working at a top BB (think GS/MS) in Hong Kong (IBD). I come from a target US university and would ideally want to be able to get back into the US after working in HK for a year or so. I would need sponsorship, but don't need the H1B visa. Has anyone made such a switch before? If so, would love to hear how you did it. I'm most curious about the internal transfer opportunities at GS/MS from HK to NYC or any lateral moves from HK to NYC. How hard/easy is it to get back into the US job market now? After how many years do you think is realistic to achieve a switch?
