Help Deciding on a Summer Internship

Sophomore semi target(duke, gtown, etc.) with a fairly decent resume some past PWM experience and a 3.5 gpa. I'll be abroad in the fall so no gpa classes there. I've got an unpaid offer at a mm boutique and a paid offer at a small pe firm(both in NYC). I want to try for SA programs in BB next summer (2016) and it looks like this will be the final piece on my resume before formal recruiting. My question is simple. What is a better route to take in order to strengthen my resume for SA recruiting. I'm tempted to take the PE offer mainly for the finances. I know little about pe and how directly it translates into IB/how bankers view it. The boutique will give me some good exposure to live deals and modeling experience which seems valuable for talking to bankers and in potential interviews. I have about 1-2 weeks before they want a response. Any thoughts on what is a better route to take?

Take the IB internship. The skill set you will develop at the boutique will have much more overlap than at the PE firm.

Plus Investment Banking Summer Analyst holds much more weight on your resume for recruiters than PE Intern.
