Help Describing Internship That Just Started on Resume

I am just gearing up to send out the next batch of applications for banks that have recently posted on my school's career board. Previous versions of my resume, sent in May or April, simply listed "incoming intern." But, now that I've started my internship, I obviously have to put something down. However, it only started a few days ago — which means, not only do I not have "accomplishments" to list (I understand that quantifiable talking points are best), I have yet to familiarize myself with the role enough to intelligently describe the full scope of what I'm doing (and most importantly, what I will eventually be doing by the time the resume is actually looked at).

The recruiting process is accelerated to the point where I really feel like applications should be sent out this weekend at the latest. Any suggestions for how to go about doing this? I'm working at a smallish fixed income AM shop in the NYC area, but my experience thus far has been limited to orientation and pretty basic introductions. At this particular point in time, I don't know how to describe my internship in my resume beyond vague generalities or broad potential job responsibilities; I assume this will be the case for another couple of weeks or so.

Just have one, maybe two bullets very briefly describing the firm and your role. If anyone notices the lack of accomplishments, they will first glance at the start date and immediately realize that you had only just started. Everyone in your class is in the same boat so don't overthink it. Just make sure to update it with accomplishments as soon as you can, prior to applying to firms later this summer.
