Help Me Make A Decision
Hi everyone, I'm a high school senior interested in pursuing finance (IB, PE, VC), and I am currently choosing between 4 schools: Michigan Ross, Berkeley Haas (4 Years), Northwestern, and Georgetown (McDonough), all out of state. I've basically narrowed it down to Ross and Haas although I've heard some great things about the other two schools as well.
I know Michigan Ross has better recruiting for East Coast Finance, and Berkeley's better for West Coast finance (Tech, HC). However, I don't want to tunnel myself into one career before I even start undergrad, and Berkeley has a great program for my other interests (double major/minor) as well (Economics / Data Science). Finances are not a consideration as I'm out of state for both schools, and they cost pretty much the same.
The cultures of both schools are nice, but Michigan's (Ross's) campus appeals more to me. However, I want to base this decision mostly on career opportunities, so it would be great to hear from all of you! Thank you for your time, and I appreciate any advice you can give me.
If you're optimizing for career, MSB is where you want to be
You’re gonna be thrown in the deep end. All these schools are ridiculously competitive.
Just choose the one that fits best.
