HelP! Urgent - Dilemma

Would love to get some insights/advice on my situation:

Recently accepted an return offer at a FT BB Corporate Banking role through OCR. After accepting the offer, a boutique IB (one that I applied months ago) reached out to ask for interview (probably a tier below RJ/Baird).

Should I even bother with the interview process? Personally definitely more interested in IB.

I would go through the interview process anyways. It's more of dilemma when there's an offer on the table. Think about it. My guess is that corp. bankers make anywhere from 60-90k. IB salaries are much higher than that with bonuses. Obviously a lot factors go into this. I'd say go through the process, wait until there's an offer on the table. You really only have a decision to make WHEN there's an offer on the table.

Thanks forthe help! If the FT offer is through summer internship, how would I respond at all if the interview asks me if I received the return offer/when does the offer expires since it is already on my resume?

Would 100% still go to that interview and if it's brought up leverage it to your benefit. At the end of the day you owe no one, if you end up getting a second offer and you think its better, take it! Life's to short to end up dwelling on what if's

Just say that you did receive a return offer & you are contemplating all of your options. Although Investment Bankers tend to be smart people, & they'll figure out right away that you're trying to get a better opportunity. If they ask you this question, its just to see how good you are at BSsing.

Go for the experience. Interviews are great learning experiences irrespective of success. Especially IB interviews.

In the exact same boat as you. I signed my offer for BB Corp Banking in the summer and went through OCR and now have 2 MM investment bank offers. I went through it not expecting anything but just to network and meet people for when I want to switch. Now I have to make decisions. Just take the interview you have nothing to lose.
