Help!! Which university should I go to to get into IB? UK student

I have two offers from UCL Bsc Statistics economics and finance and Durham Bsc Finance. The UCL course requires ABB in my A levels i’m really struggling with math and with only 2 month left to go until the exams I don’t think I will get an A most likely an A. Durham will take me with a Grade B in math so my question is how destrimental will it be to go to Durham instead of UCL? will my chances be decreased a lot by going to Durham? I know it’s top 6 in the UK but UCL is higher globally. Is it a huge deal?

AFAIK, Durham's considered one of the better semi-targets and is solid for recruiting. I'd actually heavily considered going there and spent some time reading up about it. They've got a nice college system like Oxford and Cambridge and it's a beautiful campus. So it's definitely not a bad position to be in.

However, UCL is a target and a definite leg-up. It's also based in London - makes both recruiting and networking much easier.

IB is stupid competitive as it is and if you have an opportunity like this I'd really suggest putting in the effort to grind it out and get an A*. You have 2 months of time to just sit and study, so I'd suggest doing exactly that. Completely doable to get an A* and worth it imo.

Good Luck!!

Just hammer out past papers for maths. I'm talking 1 or 2 a day. For every exam board (pure and stats content is the same). Did this method and got 97% in the final exam. You have 2 months, that's plenty of time.
