Based on the most helpful WSO content, for lateral hires at Allen & Co., going through a headhunter is the best way. However, specific headhunters or recruiters for Allen & Co. are not mentioned.

Here are some key points about the hiring process at Allen & Co.: - Lateral Hires: Best approached through a headhunter, especially if you have experience in a TMT group or TMT-focused firm. - Cold Emailing: If you don't have a headhunter, cold emailing can be effective. The email format is typically [first initial][last name]@allenco.com (e.g., John Smith would be [email protected]). - Recruiting Contacts: Both female Vice Presidents handle recruiting at Allen & Co.

For more detailed information, you might want to explore networking on LinkedIn or reaching out to professionals who have experience with the firm.

I don’t know the answer but they strike me as a firm where you will not be getting into it unless you’re already “in the know”.

They are not a “talk to a recruiter and have a strong CV” firm. They are a “white shoe, dad is a client, I have 200 connections who are all loaded so we’re hiring you because you’re also conveniently credentialed” firm.

Happy to be told otherwise though.

Yeah like the dude above said. All similar firms that people consider nepo (R/Q/LT) take quite a few grinders than just nepo kids.

I was fortunate to network with a couple (except Allen). And people there were the opposite of nepo. One transferred from US to London after 1yr visa expired, one semi-targets with converted off-cycle, one from a diff EB offcycle, one with undergrad in totally unknown school in a 3rd world country and low-semi European MFin, etc. that were obvious non-nepo and heavy grinders.
