HL RX NY vs LA

I'm a sophomore looking into 2024 SA programs and noticed that HL's NY and LA RX offices seem to run very independently from one another. Curious as to which one may be a better destination as a SA and Analyst regarding lifestyle, comp (if different at all), and exit opportunities? From what I believe, the class sizes for NY are larger, but HL's CEO sits out of the LA office.

Both are great groups with excellent deal flows and exits. LA takes ~6 kids per year and regularly sends people to Oaktree, Ares, and GSO. NY takes ~12 kids per year and a quick search on LinkedIn shows they have sent people to APO, Carlyle, and Oaktree. In terms of the deal flow, both are generalist but LA seems to have a stronger focus on liability management (their office head is HL’s co-head of liability management). Can’t go wrong with either group tho.
