Absolutely HLRx, gives you infinitely more optionality after your first few years and also leads to a much more technical skill set.

BX is definitely a desired exit opp so if you’re still interested in it over HLRx in two/three years time you’ll more than likely get it even if you turn it down now.

 

I guess most people are afraid of being pigeonholed in RE (which is a totally sensible concern)
