HL RX VS BX
Hi Guys, Was wondering what you guys think would be a better offer to go with. HL RX or Blackstone BREDs. Both SA roles for 2023, curious what the pros and cons are of each.

Assume Comp is better, but more sacrifice to WLB? Could you elaborate
Absolutely HLRx, gives you infinitely more optionality after your first few years and also leads to a much more technical skill set.
BX is definitely a desired exit opp so if you’re still interested in it over HLRx in two/three years time you’ll more than likely get it even if you turn it down now.
I don’t understand why everyone is so against bx credit. It’s a good opportunity
I guess most people are afraid of being pigeonholed in RE (which is a totally sensible concern)
BREDS is quite niche
How are hours different compared to Rx, and what is typical comp for first years
what is comp and WLB like for this bx group

Real estate debt is pretty niche, but if you’re interested in real estate then it’s a great opportunity.
If you want to work in the corporate side, whether it be distressed or equity, go with HL
hasn’t BREDS expanded into a new structured financing group?
