HL Sponsorship Status

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone can confirm Houlihan Lokey's status on sponsoring international applicants for summer analyst positions. I heard from someone that they are stopping from sponsoring Canadians but I was wondering if anyone else could confirm this. Thanks!

I am not sure about HL RX, but for CF I think they sponsor case by case. The HRs told me that they do not sponsor first-year analyst but is open to considering sponsorship after the first year. The firm also suggests you to work on your F-1 status as long as possible, which means that you must have a STEM OPT extension in order to be considered for H1B sponsorship. This is a weird policy but I think it's because they are afraid of you leaving after they sponsored your H1B.
