Holding a back office accounting job at a mid tier/large IB. How to exit?

The title pretty much explains it all. I graduated with a degree in accounting and decided to opt for a job straight out of college instead of waiting a full year to start as a B4 audit associate. Ended up in the back office of a $500B+ Investment Bank/Asset Management firm and am being completely bored to death. The work is repetitive, and I'm finding myself going on this forum constantly just to learn more about the banking world, which seems to fit my personality much better than the position I'm in now. Since graduation I've continued working full time and taking extra classes to get credit for my CPA license, but I'm finding myself less and less interested in the career path as I go to work each day. My GPA is below average (3.0) and I do have prior experience interning B4. I've recently considered taking the GMAT and opting for an MBA to better my chances for an analyst role, or even applying for a summer analyst internship, as I am still very young (graduated ~6m ago) and have enough saved up to start over on my career. Does anyone have advice or a similar experience to share that will help me out? Thanks in advance!
