How Do Investment Bankers View Equity Research?
I’ve always thought of IB and ER as two different career paths for different types of people and I honestly feel like I fit in better with the ER crowd. What I would really like to know is how Bankers view ER teams, or if any ER analysts would like to say if they share my views on bankers. I’m simply interested in the dynamics between groups at banks and if any departments are looked down upon for various reasons, or if it is a largely cordial atmosphere within banks themselves.
Hi equityresearch99, don't worry, the WSO Monkey Bot is here.... I'm hoping one of these links will help find your answer:
If those topics were completely useless, don't blame me, blame my programmers...

What is your view on bankers
I heard that ALL bankers, no matter what company, view equity research as an absolute joke. They think if you work in equity research you are scum and don’t deserve to breathe the same air. You may think you’re a good person, but I can assure you, if you work in equity research, you are not. I’ve heard stories of Bankers spitting in ER analysts faces without ever speaking to them, simply because of the “industry” stereotype they are given.
Take that with a grain of salt. Just my opinion. Lol there’s probably no industry wide view on ER, just saying hahaha.
What the fuck are you saying in the first paragraph
boi.
