How does a coverage banker lateral into M&A?
My coverage group is rather exotic in the sense that it's geographic instead of industry-oriented. Although fwiw, I work on a lot of healthcare deals.
The thing is I hate healthcare deals. I don't want to do healthcare M&A if I can pivot into an M&A group.
I self-study models during spare time. Any thoughts on how to complete the lateral process?

If you are already staffed on m&a deals then it’s a very simple transition. Just talk to someone in m&a about it
Sadly no. Also personally don't think it's a good idea to do an internal transfer when my current MD sits in the same office...
