How have you successfully studied? (methods)

I’m currently going through BIWS 400 and using ChatGPT to explain anything I get stuck on. I write out answers in my own words so I can actually understand the concepts instead of memorizing.

Once I finish my first pass, I’m planning to build a DCF, a basic 3-statement model, and a simple LBO to get reps and connect the concepts to real models. I’ll also keep drilling flashcards until I’m close to full recall.

I’m doing all of this while networking in a targeted way with alumni and people at firms I’m interested in.

What would be great to hear are the specific study methods, habits, or plans that you’ve found genuinely helpful. I want to stay focused and avoid spending time on courses or question banks that aren’t actually useful for real interviews / on the job work.

Any advice is appreciated, Happy Thanksgiving.
