How Important are "Global Deals"?
I feel like a lot of banks sell themselves on being "global banks" and working on "cross-border deals". How important is this/should this be early on in one's career?
If a deal is in Europe for example, would there be meaningful responsibility for an analyst in the NYC office, or would most of it be covered by the regional european teams? And how does this affect experience/exits vs a bank that is more focused on the US? Thanks.
