How is deal flow right now?
Obviously ECM is dead - how are the other business lines doing in this environment such as DCM, M&A, S&T, RX, etc? Are IBs still functioning at a decent level and getting some deal flow done?
Thank you

Work in RX and am finally getting inbounds from recruiters after a very long quiet period if that helps
yeah wouldn't be surprised if RX perks up a bit...just wondering if everything is ground to a halt or business still being done at IBs
Appreciate your feedback
Deals have dried up. Recruiters and HR I believe are gearing up ahead of what they believe could be a wave of RX given the war and rates rising.
What's your background specifically in RX? RX IB? RX Consulting?
Curious to hear your thoughts on going down the low-tier RX IB route (JEF/Baird/Piper) or something like a top-tier RX Consulting firm (A&M) as an analyst.
Both actually so I’m well equipped to answer this and while A&M is better at what they do than the mid-tier banks - meaning they get better deal flow and work on better brand name deals - I would choose IB each time. Analysts who come into A&M from school do not get good experience. They aren’t utilized as much on deals because you can’t have them billing on work they aren’t doing. So I would definitely go Piper/Jef/Baird to get better experience and comp coming out of school. No doubt. Unless you want a very easy lifestyle but your first years out of school should be a grind where you’re learning and making mistakes and setting yourself up for success.
Very helpful, mind if I send you a PM?
