How long should I wait around to hear back after a modelling test?
Already had screening interview and superday. I just had the modelling test late last week and haven't heard back yet.
I think I nailed it except for 1 part of it and thought given I did well in the interviews it would get me through to the next round / an offer. Getting a bit concerned as they got back in 1-2 business days after the previous interviews but I have heard modelling tests sometimes take longer to review.
Which banks?
It took 11 days for me to hear back following a modelling test. I checked in a couple of times over that period, and they said that they take awhile to get through. Sample size of 1, but I hope this helps.
Yes, that makes sense. I know they were hiring for a large number of roles so might just take more time.
Was this for analyst 1 lateral? Are modeling tests common/standard for all analyst laterals?
I thought it was only standard for EBs but someone said in another post that they got one from Jefferies
This was for an A2 role. I’m not sure if it’s common but I know a few people have had to do them for lateral positions. Depends on bank and role I suppose. This was for a MM.
Have you heard back? I’m having the same problem?
Yep - In my experience if you haven't heard back in a week, you're not their first pick. Doesn't mean you are out of the running though.
