How many NYC interns will STILL go to NYC for virtual internships?
Just wondering -- will some of you still go to NYC this summer, even though your internship will be virtual? Assuming things are at least somewhat better in NYC by end of May, will some of you go for social reasons? Or maybe to network? For the time zone difference?
Spending an extra $5k to network with people who are not even in the office? Time-zone can be any random suburb in the east coast for a quarter of the price.
That's actually a good idea -- just take train into the city.
If one was able to go to New York, networking aside, from June - August/September would it be worth it for social and time zone difference reasons?
Many analysts not from NYC originally are back home with families. Most people aren't going to meet up with you to "network" right now, given the situation. This may change come mid-summer.
