How to make better PointPoint slides

I have recently noticed that some of my peers have really good, well designed powerpoint slides. This goes beyond basic formatting. I've been working in IB for over a year, however, my slides often look basic, and the designs that I use are usually based on templates in past books.

Any advice to improve the quality of my slides? Any courses or tutorials that people take? I understand some firms have a slide design team, but I am currently at a boutique that doesn't have one.

Did this about a year back and haven't looked back since: google "citi take-Private of Trina Solar". There should be a website that has hundreds of old decks from all banks: Evercore, GS, JP, Barclays, BofA, HL, Centerview, etc. Depending on what you're doing, I would pull format slides in that way. Now, a lot of these are number driven slides, which in my opinion are easier to format than more "text based" slides. Nonetheless, good starting point.

For the text based slides, I just hit google and browse other banks and old decks I have from my own bank to see what fits.

Honestly just pay for something like slideshare. You can then use it in any shop you work at.

Always deals on and its a one time subscription of like £40/$60
