I wake up EVERY FUCKING DAY with that taste. that craving. that edge in my mouth like unfinished business. This isn’t ambition. IT’S FUCKING OBSESSION. I’ve been rejected so many fucking times I lost count. hundreds. no joke. But every single one sharpened the shit out of me. bad communication? I rewired how I fucking speak. weak technicals? I buried my fucking head weeks in a row in models until I could do them backwards in my sleep. While people post #networking tips and soft-ass “manifestation” posts I’m out here firing off 80 cold emails a day until my fingers go numb. You think I just want a shot at the desk? Fuck no. I’m coming to dominate so when I sit down on that motherfucking desk, I want every MD on the floor to pause and wonder who the fuck just showed up
Cry about the recession. Cry about how recruiting is rigged. Cry about nepo hires and closed doors. You won’t catch me complaining. I’m too fucking busy outworking every single person around me. There are times when you need to go balls to the wall, and others where you need to cruise on through. Don’t pull back the effort, but be aware of motion vs. progress. Bearing down and DOING IT super intensely might not get you your offer any faster than chilling out, getting the prep done, making the right connections, and breaking in. Effort =/ effectiveness.
