I Owe BofA ~5k
Will owing BofA 5k negatively impact any potential IB internship opportunities there? For reference I dropped 5 bands buying random shit before switching to my daddy's amex business card. I've gotten multiple calls from multiple different agencies asking me to pay the money back but to be honest I've just kind of ignored them. Obviously I would pay it back if it comes up during review, but if not I'll just sort of do my own thing. Yes my credit score is probably in the gutter by now.
No welcome to bofa. Enjoy life -> take no responsibility -> realized fucked things up -> avoidance -> things get more fucked up is exactly how we run ERGC or EGRC. I don’t know how to spell that so I’m gonna avoid fixing it. See?
your alleged credit card debt will not affect your internship opportunity but your implied sensibility likely will.
You are fine. BoA let's bankers who haven't shown up for work or done a single iota of work collect pay checks for years before letting them go so $5K is not even a blip on their wasteful spending budget. They don't have an issue paying $500K salaries to MDs who stopped showing up to work for years so all good.
Frame it as you are increasing leverage to lower your cost of capital
