IB Summer Analyst Super Days: In-Person?

Hoping to get more info on this. For some context, I am a sophomore that will be getting into SA '26 recruiting soon. I've heard banks are starting to go back to in-person/in-office for super days which is concerning for me and my schedule since I run track in the spring. Can anyone provide some color on this? Where the industry is going/what banks are doing in-office SD's?

Do you want to be a track star after college? Are you on a track scholarship? If the answer to both of those questions is no, the answer is very clear: if you get invited to an in-person superday, you go. Asking for a remote accommodation might make you come off as uncommitted from the jump (especially to any hardo interviewers). You can also connect with your interviewers far better in-person than on a 9x12 screen with your face on it. If you're serious about recruiting then a superday should take priority over (almost) everything else, bc it means an opportunity. Hope this helps brah.

I'm gonna go the complete opposite to the other reply. If you need to, request a virtual. If you make it to an SD you're already a potential lock for the role, they just wanna see how you fit with the team. Feel like having something cool to speak to like how you run track for your school would definitely set you apart, and make you memorable nonetheless

I get it, an in-person super day would obviously take priority to me. How much of a reality are in-person super days now? Are all firms doing them?

In a somewhat similar vein, what if I have a midterm on the same day as a superday?

My school doesn't allow moving midterms for non medical or school sponsored (e.g. athletics) reasons, so I'd have to eat a 0.

I'd rather not tank my GPA and risk getting cooked if I have to rerecruit FT
