Incoming IB SA - an internal Boot Camp?

Hey all! I will be joining one of the BBs for the Summer of 2020. Recently, I have received an email from my bank stating that they will be conducting an online assessment soon. The results of this assessment will determine whether or not I will have to attend a boot camp a week before the regular IBD training. This is the first time I hear about such boot camps for summer analysts - does anybody have experience with such boot camps? If I am selected to attend one, will it negatively influence my chances for the full-time return offer?

I’ve got a buddy who attended a week-long bootcamp for TPH and he put it on his resumé - this was before he even had his SA position at a BB bank (landed this later in the summer). He has the bootcamp on his resumé land his position later in the summer. obviously the situations are different, but I think it shows that these boot camps aren’t exactly bad news for people. it just means they want you to potentially learn a little more before your SA role. If you kill it during the summer and you’re a top bucket analyst, you’ll receive a return offer, regardless of the bootcamp or not
