Interesting trends in RX

Curious what the experienced members of WSO are following in the world of restructuring. I’m joining a group next summer and am wondering what literature/topics of trends/situation you guys find most interesting at the moment.

Serta-type uptiering transactions are big right now. Serta started it and showed the world itwas possible, now TriMark did it and Boardriders is trying as well.

If you don’t already subscribe to the re-org podcast. Reorg itself is expensive (like most RX materials) but the podcast is one of their marketing materials.

Also the WSJ’s RX section has some free articles. It’s in their pro subscription which is a significantly larger investment than just the mainstream journal.

Finally, DebtWire’s podcast is also great.

Some things I’m following: Simon Property Group and SPARC holdings moves (Brooks Brothers, JCP, Lucky), Hertz, McDermott, Government and the airlines other industry support, WireCard, AirBnB etc.

Finally, you can pull legal documents online from the bankruptcy courts as well

TL;DR life is all about the J-Crew trapdoor

I have the premium newsletter and it is definitely worth the money if you are interested in the industry. The premium newsletter are quite a bit longer and indept compared to the free. I am not sure if there are any free (or better) options.
